About ride the wind
Communication. Trust. Partnership. Possibility.
These are the principles that shape meaningful relationships, effective leadership, and lasting growth. They are as relevant in a boardroom as they are in a barn, and they form the foundation of every service offered through Ride the Wind Consulting & Horsemanship.
Ride the Wind brings these experiences together through two distinct paths with one shared purpose—helping people, organizations, and communities discover what's possible.
consulting
Mission-driven organizations thrive when vision is matched with strategy and relationships are cultivated with intention. RTW partners with nonprofits, schools, equine-assisted services organizations, and community programs to strengthen capacity, navigate growth, and create sustainable impact.
Whether launching a new initiative or strengthening an established organization, the goal is to help transform ideas into action and potential into lasting impact.
rtw horsemanship
Horsemanship is about more than riding. It is an opportunity to develop confidence, communication, leadership, resilience, and trust through a relationship with the horse.
RTW offers adaptive and traditional horsemanship instruction for individuals with diverse interests, backgrounds, and goals. Whether the focus is recreational, therapeutic, educational, or competitive, each experience is tailored to meet the individual where they are and support meaningful growth.
Through equine partnership, participants often discover benefits that extend well beyond the arena—into family life, education, work, leadership, and personal well-being.

about kim
What becomes possible when relationships come first?
Throughout my career as an educator, nonprofit leader, fundraiser, and lifelong equestrian, I have found that the strongest organizations and the most meaningful horse-and-human partnerships are built on the same foundation: communication, trust, authentic partnership, and possibility.
These principles have shaped my work in classrooms, development offices, boardrooms, and barns alike. They have guided successful fundraising campaigns, strengthened mission-driven organizations, and created transformative learning experiences for individuals across of all abilities.
Today, Ride the Wind Consulting & Horsemanship brings these experiences together to help people and organizations grow with purpose and possibility.

At the heart of the work
At the center of RTW is Windy, my equine partner of more than 26 years. This partnership continues to shape how I teach, lead, and learn, serving as a daily reminder of how the strongest relationships—whether between people, organizations, or horses—are built.
Communication. Trust. Partnership. Possibility.
These are more than guiding principles. They are the foundation of my work and the invitation I extend to every client, rider, and organization.
